A Look at Sunice Women’s Golf Jackets

Hi again! Like Josh, I was fortunate enough to try out a couple of Sunice golf jackets, and I must say that I am pretty thrilled with how they worked out.

Hurricane Collection – The Stella

Womens Sunice Golf Jacket

Gore-Tex®. I don’t know if I have to say anything more — but I will. In fact, I could talk for a really long time about this jacket, because I love it. In true Gore-Tex® style, it’s a durable, waterproof, and breathable jacket that is sure to keep you dry on the course – and also while wearing it out and about, which I do, because it’s awesome.

There is a light lining in the jacket, which I love for the weather here in Calgary – when it rains it tends to get cool. It packs up small in your golf bag, and works well if the wind picks up. It has a roomy hood, which is great because it keeps my pony tail dry. If you don’t like a hood – go ahead and zip it off – it does that too. There’s a ball shammy in the left pocket for those of us who don’t have a caddy but like to clean our ball on the green, and it snaps on and off for washing.

The Stella has a great fit. I don’t know if it’s just me and my strong shoulders, but I often struggle with women’s golf outerwear. Certain items/brands often seem to be “too fitted”. They’ll look great when I’m standing or sitting, but then my swing feels restricted. I think it’s pretty obvious that Sunice made this jacket for action.

Gore-Tex® is one of those things that always seems a bit too extravagant to buy, but in the end it is worth the price a thousand times over because it keeps you warm and dry. Sunice really did a fantastic job on this jacket. I don’t golf in the rain often, but when I do, I know I’ll be dry with this jacket…now I just need some pants to go with it.

Sports Layer Collection – The Sophia

This nifty little windbreaker is great for those cool summer evenings, layering over a long sleeve shirt in the fall, or throwing on if the wind picks up. It really cuts through the wind, and is water resistant if you encounter some light rain while out on the course. The pockets are great for keeping track of your tees and stuff.

At our home course this windbreaker (in white) was actually a tee prize for the 2014 Ladies Member Guest, which I wasn’t able to go to. At the time I thought it was super cute and all the ladies really seemed to like it as they were wearing it all over the place! I won’t lie, I was a little bit jealous, but at least now I see what all the fuss was about.

It’s the perfect alternative when a long sleeve jacket seems like too much, and the short sleeves make it very easy to swing in. The best part is that I don’t have to be jealous anymore…and I think mine is a better colour ;).

To all you people who are still golfing out there, I hope you are staying warm and dry while doing it!

  1. Aloha Beth,

Good post The jacket looks good — or maybe it’s the model.

I like that the jacket is made for action. A lot of the logo-wear that I get looks good, but isn’t fun to play in. And it is all about fun.
