Peak Performance Golf Apparel – Drummonds Golf Sweater

Peak Performance Golf Apparel Drummonds Sweater

As I work my way through several Peak Performance Golf Apparel reviews, I can’t help but feel excited over what the Peak Performance brand offers golfers.

I’ve written about my new favourite golf shorts, and now I have the pleasure to write about my new favourite sweater – the Drummonds Mid-Layer golf sweater from Peak Performance. I’ve owned many golf sweaters in my day, and although I’ve found some that I like, none have jumped out at me like the Drummonds sweater does.

Between cool summer evenings and brisk fall days at the golf course, I’ve had the chance to test out the sweater on many occasions, and it is now my go-to apparel when I need to take the edge off in cooler temperatures. It has come in handy for entire rounds, evening practice sessions, and to make those last few holes a little more comfortable while chasing the sunset. As someone who typically carries their bag for a round of golf, I like that it packs light and doesn’t take up much room.

Designed as a mid-layer, the Drummonds sweater has a fitted and athletic look that goes well on its own, or functions great underneath a waterproof shell on those cold and wet days, without bunching up or feeling bulky. The fabric is breathable, durable, and stretchy, which allows for the freedom of movement a golfer needs to perform at their best.

The attention to detail on this sweater is impressive, from the multi-color accents to the additional piece of fabric on the collar that prevents the zipper from rubbing your chin when fully zipped up. Superb quality continues to be the common denominator with each piece of Peak Performance golf apparel I review.

Final thoughts

The golf swing is one of the most dynamic, athletic, and fickle motions an athlete can make. Peak Performance recognizes that our game is played in the elements — not just sometimes, but all the time. We can’t control a rain cloud that moves in, or wind that picks up. All we can do is be prepared for it, without sacrificing performance.

Having the Drummonds mid-layer golf sweater in my bag has provided one more valuable tool in my apparel arsenal to be prepared for anything nature dishes out on the golf course. I love the style, athletic look and feel of the sweater, and that it looks just as good on the golf course as it does in the pub afterwards. I usually push the limits when it comes to wearing shorts on the golf course, so I like that it looks good with both shorts and pants.

Golfers are athletes that require the proper gear to feel and perform their best in the elements, and with Peak Performance golf apparel on your side, you’re in good hands.

    Aloha Josh,

Nice piece, and the Drummonds Mid-Layer golf sweater from Peak Performance sounds like a good piece of gear. I remember back on the mainland pushing golf way too far into the winter, I could have used it.

And your reply to Tina has me excited. More pictures of Beth is always a good thing.

    A Hui Hou,

      Aloha Wayne,

Thanks big guy. I imagine that over here in Canada, being prepared for some cooler weather is on our mind a lot more than you Hawaiian island dwellers.

I can appreciate why you’re looking forward to a break from photos of me. I prefer pictures of Beth too!

      Cheers
      Josh
